LM/INT PTSA is hosting a parent seminar “Ending the Silence”
Given by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): “This engaging 1-hour presentation for parents helps us learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions, what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition, as well as how to talk with your child and how to work with school staff.
The presentation includes two leaders: one who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery.
Audience members can ask questions and gain understanding of an often-misunderstood topic.”
With the current isolation and the upcoming holiday break, this is especially timely for many of our families.
NOTE: to protect the young adult speakers, we are unable to record and re-share this event.
